Addressing the Chhattisgarh BJP’s executive meeting, Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar criticized Rahul Gandhi for recent remarks about Hindus, stating, “Had Hindus not been tolerant, it wouldn’t have taken 500 years to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya.”
Khattar accused the Congress of spreading falsehoods and defaming Lord Ram and Hindus out of fear of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Khattar said, “Hindus are among the most tolerant people globally, contrary to Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Hindus are violent.” He highlighted BJP’s peaceful abrogation of Article 370 and claimed the cessation of caste and communal riots during Congress rule.
Accusing Congress of misleading the public, Khattar mocked their 99 Lok Sabha seats, calling it a victory despite failing to secure opposition party status previously. He cited NDA’s recent electoral successes and Congress’s decline in many states.
Khattar accused Congress of breaking promises in Chhattisgarh, including a liquor ban and farm loan waiver, and spreading lies about BJP’s intentions on the Constitution and reservations. He urged BJP leaders to educate people about the party’s welfare schemes and contribute to PM Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
The meeting included Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Ajay Jamwal, Kiran Deo, and other senior BJP leaders.
