Assam child marriage arrests causing havoc, says Gauhati HC

GUWAHATI : Taking into account the Assam govt’s massive crackdown on child marriages and thereby arresting people on alleged charges, the Gauhati High Court has observed that arresting a large number of people has created “havoc in the private life of people”, and further said there is no need for custodial interrogation of the accused in such cases.
