Mumbai : A court in Mumbai on Tuesday remanded two people arrested in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence to police custody till April 25.
The arrested individuals, identified as Ramesh Kumar and Suresh Gupta, were produced before a Mumbai court and have been remanded in police custody until April 25 for further investigation.
The incident occurred late on Thursday night when unidentified gunmen opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the motive behind the firing remains unclear. The police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
Based on the preliminary investigation and CCTV footage from the vicinity, the Mumbai Police identified and apprehended Ramesh Kumar and Suresh Gupta as the prime suspects in the case. The police have not yet disclosed any potential motives or connections between the suspects and the actor.
During the court hearing, the police requested an extension of the suspects’ custody to facilitate a more in-depth investigation into the incident. The court granted the request, remanding the accused in police custody until April 25.
Salman Khan’s spokesperson released a statement confirming the incident and expressing gratitude for the swift action taken by the Mumbai Police. The statement read, “We are grateful to the Mumbai Police for their prompt response and arrest of the individuals involved in the firing incident outside Mr. Salman Khan’s residence.
