New Delhi May 31 :Jamia Millia Islamia’s AJK-Mass Communication Research Centre (AJK-MCRC), has been again ranked first across the country in a recent survey. The study conducted by Outlook in collaboration with Drishti Strategic Research Services has ranked AJK-MCRC at No.1 with overall score of 899 followed by other institutes like IIMC. The Outlook had placed AJK-MCRC at No.1 last year also.
In an another survey done by India Today MDRA (Marketing & Development Research Associates) MCRC has been ranked at No.2 with 1,780.7 points to its name. The Outlook survey has taken the criteria of selection process, academics, personality development and exposure, infrastructure and facilities and placement into account. The India Today of ‘’The Best Colleges of India’’ has evaluated the academic institutions on the basis of intake quality and governance, academic excellence, infrastructure and living experience, personality and leadership development, career progression and placement, objective score and perceptual score.
Besides AJK-Mass Communication Research Centre (AJK-MCRC), Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics, Department of Social Work (UGC Centre for Advanced Study) and Faculty of Law have been ranked among the top 10 best faculties/colleges in India as per separate surveys conducted by leading weeklies Outlook and India Today.
In a press release, Vice-Chancellor, JMI Prof Talat Ahmad congratulated the centres and departments of the university on their good ranking by the two prestigious surveys. He hoped that other departments and centres will perform equally well to get a place in future surveys in their respective fields. Prof Ahmad said that these findings complemented JMI’s 12th rank in the ‘universities’ category in MHRD’s NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018
