Bhagalpur, Bihar, July 12: Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) has decided to launch a movement for educational awareness in North India. Ahead of the launch of the movement the students group held a workshop of its cadres in Bhagalpur last week.
“North India especially Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, West Bengal, etc is educationally backward because of the unawareness of people. According to Sachar Committee report, Muslims boys are more backward than Dalit girls of Jharkhand. We should try to change this scenario,” said Masiuzzama Ansari (National Secretary, SIO) while inaugurating the workshop of North India Educational Movement here in Bhagalpur on 7th July 2013.
“As per the policy of SIO, a constant movement will be unleashed in northern India for educational development of the weaker section, particularly Muslims. This workshop was the part of the movement where the cadres of Bihar & Jharkhand participated,” said Mr. Ansari. Some 30 cadres of different parts of both the states took part in the workshop.
The workshop was started with Tazkeer-bil-Quran. Chowdhary Obaidullah (Zonal sec. JIH Jharkhand) informed the cadres about the socio politico & cultural scenario of Bihar and Jharkhand. Prof. Farooque Ali told about the educational issues of Bihar & Jharkhand. Md Anwar (Zonal President SIO Bihar) talked about the organizational challenges.
