New Delhi : Maryam Siddiqui, a 19 years old Jamia Millia Islamia students bagged the first position out of 461 teams and won a cash prize of Rs. 65,000 in the GenZ Leadership Olympiad by Career2NextOrbit and Axis Bank.
Maryam is a 1st year B. Arch student of this institution.
After an online write-up submission and telephonic interview, she was selected among the top 20 participants from all over India and called for the Grand Finale held at Pride Plaza Hotel, New Delhi.
It comprised of 3 rounds, namely Public Speaking (on-the-spot), Experiential Learning, and Case Study Analysis.
The jury comprised of the most notable names of all fields, including Dr. P. K. Biswas (Director, IFMR Chennai), Dr. Gautam Sinha (Director, IIM Kashipur), Mr. Dharm Rakshit (Head-HR, Hero MotoCorp), and Ms. Malabika Bose (VP and Head-HR, Blackberry).
The grand event also saw the presence of Mr. Srikanth Balachandran (Global CHRO, Bharti Airtel), Mr. Ravi P. Singh (Director-HR, Powergrid), Mr. Dwarkanath P. (Director, Group Human Capital, MAX India), Dr. H. Chaturvedi (Director, BIMTECH) and Dr. M.P. Jaiswal (Director, IIM Sambalpur) as keynote speakers.
She competed as a single person against teams of upto 3 people. She not only managed to bag special appreciation at the end of each round, she also brought laurels to Jamia Millia Islamia by bagging the 1st position and a cash prize of Rs. 65,000.
