New Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to the BJP workers to address the problems of pasmanda or backward Muslim during its national executive meeting in July last year in Hyderabad, today on the second and last day of the party’s National Executive meeting he addressed BJP officials and advised them to reach out educated Muslims.
PM Modi made numerous key remarks to strengthen the party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
A meeting with people of all religions was stressed by PM Modi, according to reports in the media, and he reportedly instructed party leaders to visit colleges, churches, and other places to do so. He then asked, without expecting a vote in return, to meet with Pasmanda, Bohra, and educated and professional Muslims.
“He advised meeting them while keeping in mind that they would not be casting ballots,” a source said.
According to the source, PM Modi also gave leaders the instruction to avoid making unsolicited remarks on any community.
With the PM’s address, the two-day BJP National Executive Meeting came to a close. Three resolutions were also adopted: a political resolution, a social and economic resolution, and a resolution on foreign policy with an emphasis on the G20 conference.
