We are living in a world controlled by the forces of New World Order, which are mainly operating from West. Though in past, several forces have tried to own credit for New World Order, in the current international scenario this is nothing but the other name of Westernism, which in turn means the tyrannical rule of Economic and Political Western forces over the whole world. This rule is not merely political, this covers almost every aspect of individual or collective life – ideological, cultural, social, economic, and what not. The most common belief in the Muslim world today is that the West is being controlled by Zionism, a virulent ideology developed by a certain section of Jews who are said to control the real power in America. But the opposite can equally be true. Zionism may indeed be the product of Westernism, established in order to have a larger sway in the Muslim lands. It may not be Israel that controls America but in truth Israel is the illegitimate child of West, which has a perfectly defined role of pushing and protecting Western designs in Muslim World.
The most unfortunate part of the Western-Zionist conspiracy, from Muslim Perspective, is that Muslim world has too become a tool in its hand. Though perhaps no country is fully free of this nexus, the Arab World has become its biggest ally. And what is even more unfortunate is that Saudi Arabia, which is the birth place of Islam and the seat of Holiest Islamic shrines, has become the Arab leader of this nexus. “Zionist Conspiracies in the Citadel of Islam” by Syed Zubair Agmad vividly captures all the episodes of this drama of conspiracy in a ruthless description of what is happening – both in front of the eyes as well as behind the scene. The custodians of Harmain Sahrefain are in fact the custodians of West-Zionist nexus, which is bent upon destroying not only everything that Islam stands for but also the Muslim lands and Muslim societies. The invasion is not always political. While the brutalities of political invasions too are for all to see, the devastation caused by cultural and ideological invasion is no less lethal.
The author has direct exposure to what is happening in Saudi Arabia and some other Arab countries. He has lived there for years, and has been a keen student of the developments. He has taken note of not only the political developments taking place at the official level but has also kept a close eyes on what is happening on the ground. Normally the authors shy away from specifying the targets. But not this author. It speaks volumes of his boldness that he has spoken fearlessly about what the royal princes and princesses are doing – their behaviour in public and their personal lives. Their love for Islam, their grand arrangements for Hajj and Umrah and their great hospitality to the pilgrims are only for public consumption, and to maintain their popularity among Muslims. In truth they are slaves of everything that West and Westernism stand for. They are the true representatives of America and Americanism in the Land of Islam. Their subjugation to their masters is complete. Instead of bowing to God and His Commandments of Halal and Haran, they are willful adherents of Western concepts of freedom. Shariah is only there for certain crimes in public. But for the royal princes and princesses, alcohol, fashion and sexual misdemeanours are way of life.
The author has commented on various policies, programmes and treaties that are common between America and Saudi Arabia. American companies galore; Americans enjoy more than what they can in their own country. The Clerics work day and night to prove that the Kingdom is the best representative of Islamic traditions. Hotels on the other hand thrive on free supply of alcohol and porn. The government machinery is busy in carrying out American directives. The unity of Umamh is not important for them. They in fact work for creating and sustaining more and more divisions within Muslims. Israel is a friend for them, and Islamic Iran the biggest enemy. While Israel should be provided all the information it requires, every effort has to be made to contain Iran and its allies.
The book portrays a sad picture of what is transpiring in the Holy Land. At places it may look exaggerated. It may be argued that despite all their negatives, the Arab governments have been able to maintain peace and prosperity in their countries. It may also be true that Arab lands are largely free of social vices and crimes. But the ugly truth that they are playing into the hands of Western powers and have become their most trusted allies can also not be denied. In recent weeks this has become even more glaring, so glaring in fact that even the biggest admirers of Saudis can see this. The enthusiasm with which they responded to Morsi’s removal in Egypt has sent shock waves in the bodies of Muslims all over the world. Their collusion with West backed militants in Syria can also be easily visualized. Their ugly attempts to fan Sunni-Shia divide is unnerving the Muslim masses.
The author deserves compliment for bringing to the notice the ugly side of an empire, which is regarded sacred by Muslim masses. He may have been crude in his presentation of facts but in the end this crudeness proves to be a boon for the reader.
