New Delhi: The right-wing army including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is purportedly busy to provoke communal sentiments in connection with the murder of Rinku Sharma in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area. Recently, AAP spokesperson Raghav Chadha has alleged that Sharma was killed because of raising Jai Shri Ram slogan.
“The family of Rinku Sharma is saying that he was killed because of raising Jai Shri Ram slogans. It should be thoroughly investigated and the culprits should be punished. Is raising the Jai Shri Ram slogans not safe now? In BJP’s rule, Hindus are not safe,” Chaddha said.
रिंकू शर्मा के 'जय श्री राम' का नारा लगाने पर उनकी हत्या हुई। अगर भारत मे जय श्री राम का नारा बुलंद नहीं होगा तो क्या पाकिस्तान में होगा?

However, the police have maintained that there was no angle in the incident. According to them, any other motive ascribed to the incident is ”factually wrong”.
The police have arrested five people so far: Danish Nasruddin, Mohammad Islam, Mohammad Mehtab, Jahid and Tajuddin.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi Police PRO Chinmay Biswal said that Sharma & the accused had an argument over a restaurant. Commenting on the allegation of Sharma’s family that he was killed for saying Jai Shri Ram, Biswal said that the police are investigating everything.

Sharma was a member of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and associated with the Bajrang Dal. His family claimed his death was “communal” – that he had been attacked because he was collecting funds for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Hindu hardline organisations have launched a hate campaign in connection with the incident. Due to this, families of the accused have reportedly fled the area. Moreover, houses of some accused have been vandalised by Hindutva mob.
