New Delhi: A mosque in Delhi’s Green Park has been converted into temporary Covid-19 quarantine centre. The premises is now equipped with 10 beds. Patients will be provided food, medicine, mask and sanitiser.
“COVID cases are rising day by day and people are suffering a lot. We have converted the mosque into a quarantine center with 10 beds. We are getting calls from people for admission. On doctor’s prescription, we will admit them,” Mohammad Salim, Joint Secretary, Managing Committee, Green Park Mosque was quoted as saying by daily Siasat.

“We have also arranged medicines, mask sanitizers, and PPE kits for patients. We will also provide them food. Unfortunately, right now we do not have Oxygen supply but will try to get it as soon as possible,” he added.
With the number of daily coronavirus cases in India hitting record highs, Muslims in several parts of the country have turned mosques and madrassas (Islamic schools) into Covid-19 care facilities to aid patients.
