New Delhi : Barely 100 activists turned up to join a rally organized by RSS in New Delhi to push the government for a decision on the construction of Ram Mandir before the Supreme Court hearing –which will begin in January 2019.
The RSS leaders were expecting lakhs of people to participate.
Flagged off from New Delhi’s Jhandewala temple the Yatra will cover all districts and will conclude on December 9 on the same day when RSS and its offshoot organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) are set to hold a mega rally ‘Dharam Sabha’ at the Ramlila Maidan in the national capital demanding the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
RSS workers gathered near RSS head office in New Delhi on Saturday and will hold speeches. Chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ filled the air near Jhandewalan mandir as rituals to offer prayers began marking the start of the Rath Yatra. The RSS workers have dubbed the Yatra as crucial in construction of the temple.
As per an Asian Age report, the Sankalp Rath Yatra will be joined by all RSS affiliates and spearheaded by the organisation’s economic wing Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM). The RSS has divided Delhi in 8 regions and rally will be conducted in each district. The RSS event is being seen as a precursor for the December 9 VHP event.
Very very good news indeed.
