Mumbai: Raj Thackeray the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has alleged that the government is planning to stage riots on the Ram Mandir issue with the help of Owaisi.
Addressing a party function in Suburban Vikhroli on Monday, Thackeray claimed that he got a call from Delhi informing about the plan to stage riots . “I got a phone from Delhi this morning and it is quite serious. In days to come, there will be riots in the name of Ram Mandir and there are talks with Owaisi for that”, he alleged.
“A plan is being made to play with religious sentiments to retain power. In the next few months, there will be Hindu-Muslim riots, and for this talks are underway with people like Owaisi,” Thackeray said . The MNS chief claimed he received “this serious information” from a person in Delhi. He didn’t elaborate that who warned him of riots.
Raj said that the recent verbal spat between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi were a trailer of what is to come.
“The present government has no substantial work to show and they have no option left than to create riots between Hindus and Muslims”, he added.
“We have been saying that construction of Ram temple (in Ayodhya) should take place but before the 2019 elections. This government is hell-bent to play politics of polarisation. Be alert,” Thackeray warned. He further hit out at Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and alleged that the BJP leader was diving people on the basis of caste and religion.
