New Delhi, July 9: Muslim groups in India have strongly condemned the brutal firing by the Egyptian Army at the supporters of sacked President Dr. Mohammad Morsi during Fajr prayer in Cairo on Monday. They demanded immediate reinstatement of Dr. Morsi.
Nusrat Ali, General Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, has termed the incident as inhuman and immoral act done by the military after unconstitutionally sacking President Morsi. Jamaat leader said such heinous act demonstrates fulfillment of the unholy ambitions of Zionist and anti-Islam forces and the suppressing attitude of the Egyptian military. He demanded the military to restore the Morsi government in the larger interests of the Egyptian people.
Egypt Solidarity Forum has also strongly condemned massacre of 45 peaceful protesters by army in Cairo and arbitrary arrest and torture of protesters.
The Forum expressed its grave concern at the Military intervention and its declaration to remove the first democratically elected civilian president of Egypt who was given full mandate by the people in a free and fair election. The Forum condemned the declaration as ‘military coup’ at the behest of anti-revolution forces of Mubarak era who are still capturing state machinery in Egypt. The Forum also demanded restoration of the deposed president Mohammad Morsi immediately.
