New Delhi: With the issue of communal situation of the country taking centre stage, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) has decided to hold ‘Aman March’ (peace march) all across the nation on August 13 next month.
The leading Muslim organisation has asked its local units spread across the country to organize the peace march in their respective cities with full vigor.
“The JUH took this decision to respond positively and in a constructive manner to the atmosphere of hate. This ‘Aman March’ shall have great effect and shall be instrumental in sending out a message of peace,” said Jamiat General Secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani, who was also an MP in Rajya Sabha.
In other important decision, the JUH has also issued guidelines to its local units and madarsas to celebrate Independence Day and ensure participation of government officials and other important personalities of other religions in the celebration.
The national executive of the Muslim body has constituted a committee to chalk out a plan for setting up a social media desk in order to respond to campaigns being run to malign the image of Islam and reach out young generation.
About the growing tension in the Middle East, the JUH’s national executive passed a resolution appealing to international community to use their power and strength to prevent Israel from committing atrocity upon innocent Palestinians and remove restrictions imposed on offering of prayers in Masjid-e-Aqsa so that pilgrims could offer their prayers without any difficulty.
