As the humankind is facing Covid-19 -one of the worst pandemic of modern history and trying to overcome it with whatever means available, the efforts of Dubai based KMCC (Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre) to help affected Indians is commendable indeed.
The biggest isolation center in whole of GCC is almost ready to serve over 10,000 guests in Warsan, it would be a huge relief for Indians who have been living in fear counting days hoping for help to come.
Musthafa Usman, Abdullah Poyil,Anwar Ameen, Shamsudheen Bin Muhyudheen, Elettil Ibrahim, Anwar Neha, Musthafa Vengara,Musthafa Tirur and treasurer P.K Ismail made this into a reality after having several meetings with Zabeel Palace Director Harib Bin Shuhaib who agreed to share almost 32 finished building to KMCC for the task.
All the preparations were started on war footing basis under the Dubai Health Authority. One can imagine the efficiency and spontaneous actions in Warsan when they were ready to welcome their first guest with full facilities within just 4 days. All essential from dress, food, cot, bed, pillows, tea, kettle, soap, towel, water, bucket and even nail cutters were available for the guests.
The efforts of crisis management team who worked day and night for this project from behind the scene are laudable.
There are many people who worked from the very first day without taking a break and made it possible. Dubai Government is taking necessary actions in Naif and Alras as they are an integral part of their history.
Providing treatment to the affected, distributing cooked meals to the people in isolation, providing help to ambulance and police at all times, KMCC volunteers are at disposal in Naif and many parts of Dubai.
KMCC came forward even before Indian Government or Consulate swung into action to help Indian citizens.
The efforts of KMCC leaders, prominent industrialists, businessmen, health workers and volunteers are invaluable at this crucial time.
KMCC will provide the services to all irrespective caste and creed.
