New Delhi : Maulana Khalil-ul-Rahman Sajjad Nomani, a prominent Muslim cleric and spokesperson of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, has sent defamation notices to more than 20 media houses. He has alleged that the media outlets carried his photographs instead of Islamic missionary group Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Saad in their reports.
He has asked the media organisations to extend “unconditional” apologies, adding that if they don’t, he would lodge defamation suits worth 100m rupees [1.3m dollars approximately] against them.
The cleric has served the notices through his lawyer SS Syed to Zee Hindustan, Dainik Jagaran, Amar Ujala, Outlook (Hindi edition), Tehelka (Uttarakhand edition), Rajasthan Patrika, NMF News, TV9 Telugu and Gujarat Mitra among others.
He has accused the media organisations of causing damage to his image by circulating his photograph instead of Maulana Saad.
The media should have got their facts right before indulging in any propaganda against the Tablighi Jamaat, the cleric said. They were carried away in this so much that they forgot to match the photo with the main protagonist of their news reports, he added.
Well done, Maulana Sajjad Nomani sahab!
Fighting for preserving your dignity and identity too is most essential part of jihad/struggle against these devilish fascist sensational liars called Godi Modia who have become Judges/ Qazis now.
There is imperative need to teach them a lesson and prevent them from repeating these deliberate mistakes and poisonous propaganda.
WELL-DONE!
