Outrage in Muslim community as prominent cleric Maulana Wali Rahmani dies of Covid-19 after vaccination

By Special Correspondent

Patna/New Delhi, April 4 : Outrage and anger is growing in the Muslim community over the sudden death of renowned Islamic scholar and academician Maulana Wali Rahmani who developed breathlessness and other complications soon after taking the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine .

He developed breathing problems and other complications after being vaccinated on 18 March. He was admitted to Patna’s Paras HMRI Hospital on 28 March and diagnosed with Covid-19. He passed away on 3 April in the afternoon.

Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi, a senior official of Islamic organisation Markazul Ma’arif questioned the credibility of the vaccine in connection with Maulana Rahmani’s death. ”Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) should answer why did he [Rahmani] contract Covid-19 despite being vaccinated?”

All India Halal Board General Secretary Danish Reyaz said that the community has been deprived of a great leader with the demise of Maulana Wali Rahmani.

”If national level leaders are buggerred around in such a manner in the name of vaccination then how general people will trust it? A large number of people are doubtful about Covid-19 vaccine and their doubts are strengthened by such kind of incidents.”

Muslim Mirror tried to speak to medical staff in Paras Hospital in connection with Maulana Rahmani’s demises. However, it was told that no one was available to speak on the issue.

Before going for vaccination Maulana visited Imarat e Sharia, he was looking healthy and well.  After vaccination he got fever and cold later on 28th March he was admitted to Paras hospital after he felt severe cold where he was tested Covid positive,  Maulana Arshad Rahmani the office secretary of Imarat e Sharia told Muslim Mirror.

Notably, India has ambitiously rolled out vaccination programme after giving approval of two vaccine candidates: indigenously developed Covaxin and AstraZeneca’s Covishild. Several international agencies including the UNICEF, which is supporting country’s immunisation programme for over several decades, is also extending help to the government on various levels to increase coverage.

Who was Maulana Rahmani?

Maulana Rahmani was general secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board; Amee-e-Shariat, Imarat Shariah, Bihar-Jharkhand & Odisha; and Sajjada Nashin of Khanqah Rahmania, Munger in Bihar. He was also the founder of Rahmani30 – a successful educational programme focused on preparing economically marginalised students for medical, IIT, CA, CS and LAW entrance tests.

  1. This writer should have done his homework before writing this article. A person can get Covid infection inspite of the first dose and before the second dose as the protection is not full. A vaccine is fully effective only after 2 weeks of the second dose. Even then the overall efficacy of vaccines is 70%.
And the vaccine doesn’t protect retrospectively if a person was already infected at the time of vaccination. Please don’t spread conspiracy theories unnecessarily.

    • But when there are many cases of people falling severely sick after vaccination, then obviously there is something wrong with either the Vaccine or the way it is administered.
Recent case is my father in law who got fever next day of getting the Vaccine. Since patients are told that fever and other symptoms are the side effects of Vaccine, people do nothing special or see a doctor for such side effects.
But if it is a negative reaction due to Vaccine and people actually get infected with Covid then the initial few days are lost when the proper treatment for Covid may have started. At least this is the case with my father in law who is on life saving support in Max hospital Delhi.
The same may have been the case with the maulana Rahmani.
So the article may not have been written with the good choice of words, but the alarm it is raising is genuine. There have been numerous cases where people have fallen sick after Covishield Vaccine has been administered on them. There must be a deeper investigation on this issue and responsible persons must be accounted for.

    • The point is that he didn’t need a vaccine. The side effects if vaccine killed him . He didn’t even have the covid! This is what happens when corrupt governments are forcing healthy people to take medicine!!

    • Being a doctor you are just spreading the medical protocols taught to you by Medical associations.
Why would a liquid called as vaccine when it has only 70% of efficacy. And so many no.s of doses.

    • Your understanding also need research. Even after 2nd dose you can get covid. What the vaccine does mainly is that the disease will be very mild and reduces the chances of hospitalisation and death due to covid.

  2. Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 145:

And no human being can die save by God’s leave, at a term pre-ordained. And if one desires the rewards of this world, We shall grant him thereof; and if one desires the rewards of the life to come, We shall grant him thereof; and We shall requite those who are grateful [to Us].

    • This is true. It means time, place and cause of death is known to Allah already. So it is written in his book of destiny. This doesn’t exonerate the criminals causing the death and pursuit of justice and punishment is encouraged in the law of Islam. Based on intention and corresponding action of the man he becomes responsible himself. So those who intended planned and executed are criminals deserving punishment if proved so. Many times the culprits don’t get detected and convicted. So they will be punished in the Hereafter.

  4. In my village, a 70+ age old man who used to walk to masjid for salah died next day after taking vaccine due to heart-related complications. Another man of around 50 years got heart attack one day after Covid Vaccination and doctors advised him for open heart surgery without delay

  5. It is already stated that the vaccine has only 70 percent efficacy. Millions of people are taking the vaccine and rarely such things happen. As a veterinary doctor I suggest people to go ahead with vaccination because in animals we control many diseases from vaccination.

    • Yes, but you haven’t thought this through… Covid “vaccines” have not been properly tested, ie, the usual protocols including animal testing have not been adhered to. The FDA has not aporoved any Covid “vaccine”. Not one is a proper vaccine. All are devices to inflict a host changes in the human body.
