Political tussle between BJP and Congress over ‘Love Jihad’ in Madhya Pradesh

by Muslim Mirror Staff

The controversy surrounding the hijab at Ganga Jamuna School in Damoah, Madhya Pradesh has escalated to allegations of jihad and terror funding.

Madhya Pradesh BJP president, VD Sharma, made significant claims about not only Love Jihad but also the involvement of the Damoh school administration in funding terrorism.

On the other hand, the leader of the opposition, Dr. Govind Singh, criticized VD Sharma’s statement, describing the BJP’s focus on Love Jihad as a political maneuver designed to gain support during an election year.

During a conversation with journalists regarding the Damoh school issue, VD Sharma, the President of Madhya Pradesh BJP, expressed his observations by stating, “I noticed that two female teachers who were hired had the surname Khan. It appears that the school management’s intentions go beyond Love Jihad and involve a plot to establish a jihadi empire. I have inquired with the government about the individuals named Idris Khan, Jalil Khan, and Mushtaq Khan who are associated with the school management, to understand their potential links with terror funding.”

VD Sharma further expressed his concerns by questioning the origins of the alleged jihadi empire, stating, “Where did they acquire thousands of acres of land? I want to know how they were given the opportunity to establish a jihadi empire in Damoh. It is essential to take strict action against the school management for luring our innocent and vulnerable sisters into Love Jihad through conversions.”

Dr. Govind Singh, a senior leader of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Party and the leader of the opposition in the state assembly, commented by saying, “Nothing can happen without love. Love and Jihad are incompatible. Why would conflict arise in an environment of love?”

Dr. Govind Singh suggested that the allegations of Love Jihad and religious violence are tactics employed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in an election year to divert attention from their failures. He believes that people are wise and discerning enough not to be swayed or deceived by such tactics.
