NEW DELHI : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Singh Negi has been caught on camera delivering inflammatory speeches against Muslims in local parks in Vinod Nafar area of East Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Singh Negi’s inflammatory speeches in local parks in the Vinay Nagar area of East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency were caught on camera and were posted on X platform by several social media users.
Negi, a BJP councillor, is seen urging women to turn out and vote in large numbers, just as the Muslim community does, implying that Muslims are voting as a bloc.
In the viral video, Negi stated: “Yah ladayee ab Sanatan Dharam aur Musalmanon kay beech mai hai. Aap Sanatan Dharam kay log hain aur apnay dharam ki raksha khud karo. Gharon se bahar niklo jaise yeh burkhe wale vote daltay hain lambi lambi line laga kay… (This election is a fight between Sanatan Dharam and the Muslims. Come out to vote in large numbers, just like the Muslim women showing up in burkhas and standing in long queues).”
He is further heard instilling fear by accusing opposition parties of wanting to give all rights to Muslims, stoking fears and resentment. “Your homes will be distributed among Muslims. To save yourself come out and vote for Narendra Modi,” he said.
Negi is not new to making communally laced remarks or actions. Earlier he was in the news while raiding meat shops in Delhi ordering them to close during the Hindi festival of Navaratri. ( With Agencies Inputs )
