Lucknow, May 10: Reacting on the Barabanki court refusal to entertain the Uttar Pradesh government’s plea to withdraw terror case against Tariq Qasmi and Khalid Mujahid, Rihai Manch said the Samajwadi Party government has never been honest on the issue.
Adv. Mohammad Shoaib, president, Rihai Manch said: The state government did not present true facts before the court, rather it hid the facts and through some paper work, it misguided the Muslims.
“After submission of the Nimesh Commission report, it was the duty of the state government to table the entire report in the Assembly before March 31, 2013 and on the basis of questions raised in the report and statements of the witnesses, the government should have presented the entire report in the court under CrPC section 173(8). But the government did not do this, and filed the plea under article 321 but the district magistrate did not submit his affidavit and did not tell the court any reason of withdrawing the case. This shows that the government has never been honest on the entire issue and it deliberately presented such reasons that the court refused the plea,” said Adv. Shoaib.
