‘Babri masjid demolition the worst attack by RSS on Indian diversity’ : Indian Social Forum

Riyadh — Indian Social Forum (Riyadh Northern State ) organized a public meeting titled “In the memory of Babri Masjid” at Khayyaam Restaurant, Riyadh.

Indian Social Forum Northern State Committee Member Mr. Mohammed Shahnawaz began the function by welcoming the guests and attendees.

Indian Social Forum Central Committee (Riyadh) President Mr. Basheer Karanthur, Inaugurated the event. In his address to the gathering he Said 6th December 1992 is the day that witnessed one of the worst attack of RSS on Indian diversity. it was more than just the fall of the masjid; it was the beginning of the death of the idea called India such brutal vandalism is never to be forgotten. December 6th should be a day for us to renew our resolve to resist fascists, this day will remain in the hearts of every individual with conscience who desires justice, which is rebuilding of Babri on the same land.

Mr. Ihsanul Haq president of the Northern State Committee of Indian Social Forum emphasized on the unity of the Ummah and specifically mentioned about the division which is a causing a huge obstruction in the uplift of our community.

The event’s key speaker Mr. Naqi Ahmed Nadwi, Indian Social Forum Northern State Committee member highlighted the current issues of Muslims in India. He laid great stress on the need to acquire education and uplift of Indian Muslims. Mr. Arshad of Seva School Riyadh, narrated the demolition of Babri Mosque and its aftermath in great details along with his personal experiences.

Mr. Salman Khalid, former vice president of AMUOBA, emphasized on providing educational opportunities for generations to come and also highlighted that education is the need of the hour for Indian Muslims as they remain backward on many social and economic indicators even today.

K. N. Wasif, a prominent journalist and Mr. Sajjad, Indian Fraternity Forum Northern State Committee member also expressed addressed the gathering.

Many prominent leaders including representatives of various organizations in Riyadh were also present at the event.

Deliver vote of thanks by Indian Social Forum Northern State Committee member Mr. Mohammed Shahnawaz, who appreciated the support of all them to attending the event.
