In the charge sheet filed by NIA last week in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, two absconding men Ram Chandra Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange, have been mentioned as ‘RSS workers’said a PTI report.
The column for occupation in the charge sheet mentions the duo as RSS workers against the names of Mr. Kalsangra, accused number 13 and Mr. Dange, accused number 14.
Ram Chandra Kalsangra and Sandeep Dange have been absconding since their name surfaced in the Malegaon explosion case which killed 7 people.
The two names also appear as accused in other cases including Samjhuata train blasts of February 2007 which killed 68 people.
Regarding the two accused, Manmohan Vaidya RSS Head of Communication department said that “They were with the RSS. We do not know about their whereabouts. Neither do we know about their involvement in the case.”
“We do not support any kind of violence. But there should be a thorough judicial probe into the entire incident and anyone found guilty should be punished,” Mr. Vaidya added.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the NIA have announced a cash reward of Rs 10 Lakh for information on the whereabouts of Mr. Kalsangra and Mr. Dange. The duo also has an Interpol Red Corner notice against them.
The two-wheeler used for planting the explosive material outside a mosque in Malegaon was registered in name of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, and was being used by Mr. Kalsangra for the last two years according to NIA.
Mr. Kalsangra alias Ramji and Mr. Dange had allegedly trained some of the accused in use of arms and explosives at Bagli hill top in Devas, Madhya Pradesh.
