The new Algerian government is living in “isolation” after the latest presidential elections, the country’s Al-Nahda Party said.
In a statement, the party said that the absence of the political dimension in the formation of a government reaffirms that the authority is living in “political and popular isolation”.
The statement also said that this is a “clear violation of the slogans and promises that accompanied the elections.”
According to the statement a number of the ministers in the new government are unknown.
The statement noted that this is a challenge for the country and the people because of the massive inability of the previous governments to fulfil the people’s needs regarding freedoms, development and attaining a decent life.
Al-Nahda warned that giving ministerial positions to unknown figures jeopardises the future of the Algerian youth culturally and educationally.———–MEMO
