The India Today-Nielsen Ranking of Best Medical Colleges of India-2014 has put the JN Medical College of Aligarh Muslim University at number fifteen this year in its ranking .
In its recently announced ranking for 2014, the India Today has given fifteenth rank to AMU’s JN Medical College as against the twenty-fifth rank in 2007. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has secured the first position.
Professor S Bano, Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Professor Tariq Mansoor, Principal, JN Medical College has expressed happiness on the achievement and urged the faculty members and staff of the college to make effort to achieve higher ranking.
While the survey by the same has put the faculty of law of Aligarh Muslim University at number six, while it held tenth position in 2013 ranking. The National Law School of Indian University, Bangalore has secured the first position while National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University, Hyderabad failed to secure its first position this year and secured the second position.
