Aurangabad, July 13 : The All India Majlise ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has decided to appeal against cancellation of the party’s registration by Maharaastra Election Commission.
According to a Press release issued by the party’s group leader in Maharashtra assembly and Aurangabad MLA Imtiaz Jaleel the party had received a notice from the State Election Commission some four months back as to why our party’s registration should not be cancelled since we had not submitted some mandatory documents. Accordingly our team from Hyderabad had visited the State Election Commission office in Mumbai and had completed all the formalities as required including submission of IT returns of the party.
Since the EC has now cancelled our registration we will go in appeal before them the moment we get a letter from the election commission he further added that AIMIM respects the independent nature of the Election Commission and fully honour their decision to bring transparency in the election process.
For AIMIM the upcoming local body elections are very crucial and the party will contest with full force.
Maharashtra state core committee member Anjum Inamdar informed muslimmirror.com that a team from party head quarter is visiting Mumbai tomorrow. We will visit election commission office along with our two MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel and Waris Pathan and legal adviser.
