By Muslim Mirror News,
Growing violence in the name of religion, ideologies and caste in the past few years is destroying the plural nature of our nation. A series of low volume high intensity terrorizing incidents occurring in the recent past are a threat to the very existence of a peaceful and harmonious nation where people belonging to 6000 castes speaking 1700 languages live.
To counter the communal tension, and to strengthen peace and communal harmony among the various communities, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is launching a 15 days nationwide campaign “Peace and Humanity” from 21st August to 4th September 2016.
“With the situation is getting grim every passing day, for a pluralistic society, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, which always opposes partisanship, narrow mindedness and violence in the name of religion and castes, feel it to be imminent to strive against growing menace of violence in the country”, said Engineer Taufique Aslam Khan, President of JIH Maharashtra.
The situation is so grave that Maharashtra Government has also initiated a Sadbhavna Pandharwada Campaign in schools and colleges, added Taufique Aslam Khan.
Informing about the details Mr.Khan said that “Peace and Humanity” campaign would run all over the country from 21st August to 4th September 2016. The objective of this campaign is to bring firm and tangible changes in the society by appealing the collective conscience of masses. The campaign aims to establish a string of institutions from lowest community level i.e. local or ward level to counter communal hatred and racial discrimination.
Through this campaign, JIH intends to give a call to the peaceful and justice loving people of our nation to come forward, and join hands at every level for the sake of constructing a powerful India. The citizens shall stand united on the foundations of the strongest bonds of humanity and work together for the development and prosperity of the nation, so that our next generation inherits a better future.
In Maharashtra, JIH planned to reach 30 million people and focus on communally sensitive districts. JIH will also award Sadbhavna Awards for the activists. Justice Sri Krishna will be awarded “Sadbhavna award” at a grand convention in Mumbai on 27th August 2016 by all India President of Jamaat e Islami Maulana Sayed Jalauddin Umari.
