Jeddah : Director of Hajj and Umrah Affairs at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah Khaled bin Muslim Al-Harbi expects the arrival of 4,300 pilgrims per hour during the period starting from August 20, Arab News reported.
He noted than 13 reception halls have been allocated to receive Hajj pilgrims this year. He added that it should take between 30 and 45 minutes for the pilgrims to go through procedures before they board the bus leaving the airport.
In response to a question about management’s preparations for the season, Al-Harbi revealed that plans and necessary programs were put in place to facilitate receiving pilgrims. He said that meetings were held with various stakeholders to coordinate the work according to an integrated system of services.—AG/IINA
