A 40-year-old Dalit leader named Prasad was hacked to death by a mob in Mudlapur near Manvi taluk, Raichur district, Karnataka on Monday.

The attack occurred as Prasad was riding his motorcycle when he was ambushed by the assailants, who assaulted him with sharp-edged weapons. His palm was severed, and his body bore multiple cut marks, indicating the sheer brutality of the assault.

The Raichur Superintendent of Police, Nikhil, arrived at the crime scene to oversee the investigation, which has been taken up by the Manvi police jurisdiction.
