Muzaffarnagar: District authorities in Muzaffarnagar have filed a case against 10 Muslim leaders including ex-BSP MP Kadir Rana and ex UP minister Saeeduzama of Congress for allegedly making inflammatory speeches.
The case has been in the court of CJM Garima Choudhry in connection with the alleged hate speeches made by the accused in defiance of prohibitory orders. They have been charged with violating prohibitory orders and inciting communal tension, the ADM Indermani Tripathi said.
Apart from Rana, the others chargesheeted were BSP MLA from Charthawal Noor Saleem Rana,party MLA from Miranpur Maulana Jamil, Congress leader Saeeduzama, his son Salman Saeed, city board member Asad Zama Ansari,ex-member of city board Naushad Qureshi, trader Ahsan Qureshi, Sultan Mushir and Naushad. The UP government’s decision to file cases against these leaders after a gap of almost 10 months seems to be after thought and to be seen as balancing act.
