RSS keeps research scholar in captivity ; Rihai Manch demands stern action against culprits

Lucknow: Right group Rihai Manch has strongly condemned the harassment of research scholar and activist Anil Yadav who was allegedly kept in captivity by RSS workers in its office in Muzaffarnagar. Yadav has gone there to do research work on communal violence that broke out in September 2013 in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts.


Rihai Manch described the incident of Yadav’s captivity as brazen attempt of RSS’ ‘goons’ to intimidate and cow down the activists who are trying to expose nefarious activities of communal forces.

Rihai Manch has asked the State government led by Samajwadi Party to provide security to Anil Yadav and stern action against RSS workers who confined Yadav. Manch identified the culprits as Neeraj Shama, Ramvir Singh, Asutosh and Anubhav Sharma.S.

Manch also alleged that Muzaffarnagar office of RSS has become as a hub of terror activities.

Rihai Manch spokesman Rajeev Yadav said “Project Research Associate of Giri Vikas Sansthan Anil Yadav had visited to communal violence hit Muzaffarnagar for his research work on January 27. He was taken captive there by RSS goons and kept hostage there in its Ansari Road office from 8pm to 10pm where they kept investigating him and threatened to kill him for ‘being ISI’ agent. They snatched his mobile and asked if the talked to ‘terrorists’.”

Even after showing his identity card they continued to oppress and abuse him calling ISI and ISIS agent. After hours of intimidation and threatening  , they returned his mobile.

Neeraj Sharma, Ramvir Singh, Asutosh, Anubhav Sharma and two others were responsible for the incident” Rihai Manch spokesman said.

Riahi Manch alleged that Deepak Tyagi alias Swami ji of Hindu Swabhiman outfit is an ex member of SP youth wing and that is why the state government is ‘patronizing’ terror outfit. It demanded that the government should ban  Swabhiman Sena, immediately.

Mohd. Shoeb, President Rihai Manch said the incident is an attack on the academic world by RSS.
