Srinagar: Taking dig at the MLAs and Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Shafiq Mir chairman All J & K Panchayat Conference has said that these people were always seen as fair weather friends and they were never seen among the people at the times of crisis. Asking them to come out from hideouts they were hiding in or leave the representative position they were holding.
Expressing his deep concern over the plight of the people in Kashmir valley, head of Panchayats in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Shafiq Mir said in a statement issued here that whenever the people of Kashmir were trapped in any crisis the political leadership of the area was always missing from the scene. And later they blame police and security forces for the highhandedness. “ It is very much unfortunate that the people who have been looting the treasuries of Government for the past seven decades and claim to be the real representatives of the people were never seen around when the people were in crisis . Even these people were not seen in the ground during devastating floods . Whenever any critical situation erupts in the state the fate of the people is left at the mercy of security force s and when the normalcy returns this tribe comes out and criticizes the security forces for the highhandedness”, said Mir adding that they should come out and guide the administration and work among the people for peace and normalcy. At least they must be among their followers if they have any as they claim, he said . Mir further said that if these people can not go among the masses they have no right to be continue on the chair being a public representative.
Appealing the youth of the state to desist from the suicidal path and not to pave the way for those who want to do politics over their dead bodies. Mir has also appealed the civil society members of Kashmir to come out and play their role in saving the precious lives which the first priority at this point of time . He said it has been tendency of the so called pro India politicians to go missing from the scene when they were most required in the field and they appear soon after the normalcy returns and start politics over the dead bodies .
