New Delhi, May 10 “Based on the vision of Mahamana, we will bring a new education policy that will be based on Vedic knowledge and science. It will come true to Mahamana’s vision and meet his expectations. Ancient knowledge should become part of every discipline,” said Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal while addressing a  webinar on “COVID-19:  The  Mahamana’s Indian Vision in Global Context”  organised by  Mahamana Malaviya Mission, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Unit.

The   country’s new education policy was going to be based on Vedic knowledge-science, he added.

According to a HT report, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said, “The whole world is looking towards India. At present, the ideas of Mahamana are certainly very important for us. Our cultural heritage is our strength.”

Rashtriya swayamsevak sangh, joint general secretary Dr Krishn Gopal, as chief speaker of the inaugural session, said that Mahamana always emphasised on the pattern of education that should be a blend of worldly knowledge and spiritual wisdom and established BHU on these tenets.

Civilization changes after a few years, while the culture is everlasting. Mansahar (Non-vegetarian) food is the root cause of corona pandemic. The carnivore now stands before us in a gruesome form. Mahamana and Gandhi had never accepted non-vegetarianism. We need to follow Vedic culture.”

  1. Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal his own qualifications are questionable.
How will he formulate policy having no proper education background?
It is believed that numeric are origin from ‘Vedas’. But BJPs own spokesperson hard to find how many ‘Zero’s’ in trillion even though degree in Medical profession and heads ONGC director.

  2. Last 6 years whole world had seen these people’s culture, faith is inhuman.
One more new policy God only knows where these illiterate people to take our nation.

  3. But how can they do this? Each state has its own educational system. The central government has no say in that.

  4. It’s a good step considering the infinite amount of knowledge vedas consists. As Sushrut Samhita gave the word immense knowledge of surgery. Such books & text needs to be revised in the lens of science.
