Patna: There are big powers behind the communal forces engulfing the country today and people need to be highly cautious against these forces , said Markadey Katju, former Justice Supreme Court of India while addressing the gathering that had assembled to felicitate Maulana Wali Rahmani, the new Chief of Imaret e Sharia here on Saturday.
Terming the recent arrest of Muslim youth by NIA as ‘innocent’, he told that in past Muslim youths were picked up in the name of SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) and Al Qaeda and now they are being arrested for having alleged links with ISIS.
He termed the methods of arrest of the investigative agencies in India as unscientific as there is no proper training given to them on how to identify a culprit while in western countries there is a proper training given to officials for the same.
Mr Katju thanked the people of Bihar for showing the beacon light to the rest of the countrymen as they defeated the communal forces coming to power in the state in the last assembly election.
He requested Bihar CM Mr Nitish umar and RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav who was also present at the Dias not to sit in Bihar only and move around the country and expose the nefarious design of the communal forces which are out to divide the country.
He also referred to Bihar as the cultural centre of India.
