Ministry of Women and Child Development announces the contest for #100 women achievers: 12 among them are Muslim.
The Ministry of Women and Child development in collaboration with India Today and Facebook have announced the # 100 women of India who are pride of the nation in the categories ranging from Education,Health to media. The Voting for the #100Women Achievers’ Contest has begun on MWCD Facebook page from December 3 to 20, 2015.
It is learnt that 12 Muslim women have made it to the list of top 200 women nominees who have been shortlisted by the Jury constituted by MWCD.
The initiative aims at recognising and acknowledging the women who have inspired the most in their communities across the country.
Following are the Muslims women along with their categories who have been marked as achievers :
- Sainaba Yousuf from Palakkad, Kerala: Agriculture and Animal Husbandry
- Dr Shaik Abdul Thasleem Sultana from Renigunta, Andhra Pradesh: Disability and advantage
- Suraiya Bano from Bhilai, Chattisgarh, Zainab Khan from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and Rehana Rehaman from Shapur, Uttar Pradesh : Education
- Sumaira Abdul Lali from Mumbai and Rashida Bee from Bohpal, Madhyapradesh:Environment, forests and wildlife
- Nazneen Ansari from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Mumtaz Kazi from Mumbai, Maharashtra and Azeena Khan from Jaipur, Rajasthan : Women in Public Life
- Begum Shehnaz, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Women’s empowerment
